What is the best CTA route to the United Center from Des Plaines?

We are staying in Des Plaines for the next week and going to the Blackhawks game tomorrow night. What is the best route via public transportation to get to the United Center? I really don't want to drive, but I don't want to get off in the wrong part of town either. New to Chicago. Thanks!
